Agreement to Terms
By accessing this website or engaging Excellent Plumbing & Heating for plumbing and heating services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
Services
Excellent Plumbing & Heating provides residential and light commercial plumbing and heating services across Long Island, NY, including Nassau County and Suffolk County. Our services include but are not limited to drain cleaning, sewer line repair and replacement, water heater repair and installation, steam boiler service and installation, slab leak detection, and related plumbing and heating work.
All service work is subject to a written or verbal estimate provided prior to the start of work. Work will not begin until the customer has reviewed and agreed to the scope and price.
Estimates and Pricing
Estimates provided by Excellent Plumbing & Heating are based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may differ from an initial estimate if:
- The scope of work changes once access to the system is obtained
- Additional damage or issues are discovered during the course of the work
- Materials or conditions differ from what was initially assessed
Any changes to the original scope or price will be communicated to the customer before additional work proceeds. We will not perform work beyond the agreed scope without customer authorization.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless a separate payment arrangement has been agreed to in writing in advance. Excellent Plumbing & Heating accepts payment by cash, check, and major credit cards. Returned checks are subject to a returned check fee.
Invoices not paid within 30 days of the service date may be subject to a late payment charge. Accounts referred to collections for non-payment may be subject to additional fees.
Warranties and Workmanship Guarantee
Excellent Plumbing & Heating stands behind the quality of our work. We warranty our labor for a period of [30/60/90] days from the date of service completion. If a problem recurs within the warranty period as a direct result of our workmanship, we will return to address it at no additional labor charge.
This warranty does not cover:
- Issues caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications after service is completed
- Pre-existing conditions unrelated to the specific work performed
- Equipment or parts covered under a manufacturer’s warranty — those claims should be directed to the manufacturer
- Normal wear and tear on parts, fixtures, or equipment
Parts and equipment carry the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable. We will assist customers in understanding their manufacturer warranty coverage upon request.
Manufacturer Parts and Equipment
When parts or equipment are supplied by Excellent Plumbing & Heating as part of a service, we use quality materials appropriate for the job. We do not warrant third-party parts supplied by the customer. If customer-supplied parts fail, we reserve the right to charge for the additional labor required to address the failure.
Access and Site Conditions
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area. This includes clearing the area of personal belongings, pets, and obstructions before our technicians arrive. Excellent Plumbing & Heating is not responsible for damage to property that is in the direct work area unless caused by our negligence.
If a work site is found to be unsafe or inaccessible upon arrival, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment. A service call fee may apply for appointments where access is not available.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
We ask that customers provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled service appointment. This allows us to accommodate other customers who need service.
For emergency service calls, cancellations after dispatch may be subject to a trip charge to cover travel time and resources committed to the call.
Emergency Services
Emergency plumbing and heating services are provided at our standard emergency service rates, which may differ from standard service rates. Rates for emergency calls will be communicated prior to dispatch whenever possible. By requesting emergency service, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the applicable emergency service rate.
Limitation of Liability
Excellent Plumbing & Heating’s liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or property damage beyond the direct work area that is not caused by our negligence.
We carry general liability insurance on all jobs. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
Property Damage
Excellent Plumbing & Heating takes reasonable care to protect your property during service. In the event that our work causes damage to your property, please notify us immediately. We will assess the situation and work with you in good faith to resolve it.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, or damage resulting from deferred maintenance that becomes apparent during the course of our work.
Permits
Some plumbing and heating work may require permits from the applicable municipality. When permits are required, it is the responsibility of the property owner to obtain them unless we have expressly agreed in writing to handle permitting as part of the job scope. We will advise customers when we believe a permit is required.
